Myths In Mental Health

On 17th June, at 7pm, Fingal County Council will host a public talk on 'Myths in Mental Health' in the Blanchardstown Library (Blanchardstown Shopping Centre)

The talk, delivered by local mental health professional, Dr. Pradeep Chadha , will cover some of the myths prevalent among the public on mental health and mental illnesses.

Admission is Free, and all are welcome,

PUBLIC MEETING: Fingal Development Plan 2011-2017

I would like to invite you to drop in to one of the public information meetings I'm hosting with local Labour Cllrs. Peggy Hamill, Patrick Nulty and Michael O'Donovan on the new Fingal Development Plan.

The meetings will take place on Saturday, 29th May from 11am in Myo's, Castleknock and from 2pm in St. Brigid's Community Centre, Blanchardstown.

Joan Burton to host Public Transport Meeting

Venue: ‘The Paddocks’, Littlepace (Upstairs Lounge)

Date: Thursday 13th May 2010 at 8pm

I will host a public meeting on Thursday 13th May to deal with public transport issues facing Dublin 15. Representatives will be on hand from Dublin Bus, to explain the new Dublin 15 bus network, and from Iarnrod Eireann to give an update on rail services. There will also be a Q&A session.

PUBLIC MEETING: Fingal Development Plan

Deputy Joan Burton, along with Cllrs. Peggy Hamill, Patrick Nulty & Michael o'Donovan, will host a public meeting about the new Fingal Development Plan 2011-2017upstairs in the Clonsilla Inn, this Saturday (Feb 20th) from 11.30am.

Detailed maps and hard copies of the, Manager's Report, on which the Development Plan is likely to be based, will be available for perusal on the day.

Local community input is essential to ensure proper planning, so come and have your say.

Reminder: Diswellstown Development Deadline - Thursday, Sept. 24th

The final date for submissions or observations to the Diswellstown Viscount Securities Development is Thursday September 24th. Residents who have already sent in submissions to the original planning application are not subject to further payment.

Because the ‘Additional Information’ is deemed ‘significant’ it is possible for those who have not previously submitted an observation or submission, to do so at a cost of €20.

120 People Hear Prof. John Crown Recommend Universal Health Insurance

120 people attended a public meeting on health organised by the Dublin West Labour Party in St. Brigid’s Community Centre, Blanchardstown on Thursday, March 5th. Speakers included Professor John Crown, Dr. Eamon Leen (Connolly Hospital), Joan Burton TD. The meeting was hosted by Cllr. Michael O’Donovan, Mayor of Fingal, while Labour Party local election candidates, Patrick Nulty and Cllr. Peggy Hamill, also spoke.
