MINISTER BURTON WELCOMES FUNDING FOR CLONEE SCHOOL

The Minister for Social Protection, Joan Burton T.D., welcomed news that funding has been made available to Mary Mother of Hope National School, Clonee, Dublin 15, for a new all-weather pitch.

The all-weather pitch has been developed as part of the classroom extension works for Mary Mother of Hope National School, that were announced by the Department of Education & Skills.

“I am delighted that Fingal County Council has committed to funding the additional costs needed by Mary Mother of Hope National School to construct this all-weather pitch. The additional funding will help the school at last bring this long awaited project to fruition.

“Once completed, the all-weather pitch will be available to use not just by the school but also by the whole community. Credit must be paid to the school principal Enda McGorman for his undeterred determination to see this project through. When finished, this pitch will be a huge asset to the locality, and I would like to wish it a speedy completion.”
