Minister Joan Burton has received the following update from the Dept of Education in regard of Castleknock Community College. “Earlier this month, Dublin and Dun Laoghaire ETB were authorised to issue the letter of intent to the recommended bidder.  The Design Team are currently preparing a supplementary tender report, to include tax clearance, bond, insurances, etc.  Following completion of the tender process, and provided there are no issues arising, the start on site date will then be agreed with the successful contractor.

The construction project at Castleknock Community College entails the construction of a two storey extension including sports hall and associated changing rooms, 10 classrooms, ancillary accommodation and a covered link to the existing building”.

Minister Joan Burton TD said “I wish to congratulate Castleknock Community College, the local community, teachers, teachers and parents and students for paying such an active part in bringing this project fruition. This long awaited investment in Dublin 15 further emphasises the commitment of this Government to education”.
