Counting the Cost of Cowenomics

They say a week is a long time in politics.

This week, the economy hit a new low, and in every part of the country, people like you are feeling it.

The Government underwrote Irish banks to the tune of €400bn, unemployment figures showed a 50% rise over the year and a near €12bn hole in the public finances became apparent.

300 people are now losing their jobs every day in Ireland, but our Government has no re-employment strategy.

This is the true cost of Cowenomics.

The conservative consensus has no answers, but the Labour Party does.

This week, Labour published its ‘New Deal’, a plan to get us out of the economic mess we are in. Unemployment must be made public enemy number one.

The Labour Party has made concrete, common-sense proposals to get Ireland back working.

I recorded a 2 minute video about our economy and Labour’s plan to solve this crisis.

Please watch the video and pass it to your friends:
