FINGAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2017-23 PUBLIC CONSULTATION BLANCHARDSTOWN CIVIC OFFICES Tuesday April 28th 2015
7.30 to 10pm ALL WELCOME
“As Fingal’s population approaches 300,000, the County Council has commenced work on a new Development Plan. The Council will host a public consultation in Blanchardstown Civic Offices on Tuesday April 28th from 7.30pm to 10pm which is open to everyone.
Now that the national economy is recovering well, many opportunities for development will arise and new construction projects are in the pipeline. I welcome this and the extra jobs it brings. I am also anxious that past mistakes are not repeated and that the highest quality standards are applied. We need to plan for additional homes, schools and community facilities.
Dublin 15 has fantastic natural amenities, canals, rivers, parks, a large green belt and access to the Fingal Coastline. These amenities need protection. Climate change may bring challenges such as flooding risks that have to be faced. Transport planning is also critical for commuters and students. The new Plan has to provide for better bus, train and road connections.
If you have views on these matters you can come along to the meeting on Tuesday April 28th or send them in to the Council. You can simply send a short letter/ e mail on a single topic or you can submit a detailed proposal covering a variety of issues. On the web, you can log on to www.fingal.ie/devplan or you can write to Fingal Planning at County Hall, Swords, Co Dublin. The deadline is Friday May 15th 2015. As always, I can be contacted at my office 01-6184006 or at email@example.com.”
