As reported today in the Irish Times , Deputy Joan Burton spoke in the Dáil yesterday on the occasion of the re-appointment of Emily O’Reilly as Ombudsman about the need for her powers to be extended to cover financial agencies such as the Financial Regulator, the NTMA, the National Development Finance Agency, and the National Pension Reserve Fund.
