Labour and Fine Gael have agreed a Programme for National Government, which was overwhelmingly endorsed by Labour Party delegates on Sunday.

We are two distinct parties, but we share a common purpose – to deal with Ireland’s unprecedented economic emergency and put the country on a path to sustainable prosperity.

Our national government aspires to restore our country’s finances, to radically reform an outdated system of administration and rebuild Ireland’s reputation on the international stage.

By the end of our term in government, we hope that Ireland will be recognised as a modern, fair, socially inclusive and equal society supported by a productive and prosperous economy.
