PLANNING GRANTED FOR SACRED HEART SCHOOL EXTENSION – BURTON

Tánaiste and Dublin West Labour TD Joan Burton and Labour Councillor Mary McCamley have welcomed planning permission for a new extension for Sacred Heart of Jesus national school in Huntstown.

Joan Burton said: “I’m delighted that the school has been granted planning permission to proceed with the new extension.

“The extension will consist of a number of new facilities for the school, including one classroom, one special needs classroom, six resource rooms, and circulation space.

“It’s great news for a school that is at the heart of the community in Huntstown, right next door to the community centre. The school can now go ahead with the next stage of their development.”

Councillor Mary McCamley commented: “It’s well deserved, it’s a really lively, busy school and I’m delighted for them. I was there earlier in the year when they were awarded the Yellow Flag for cultural awareness and integration, so I know the great work they do.”
