I would like to personally thank people for the courtesy over the past six weeks of the referendum campaign.
I have been consistent in my opposition to the 8th amendment since 1983. It is a deeply personal issue and something that is very difficult for most people to talk about.
Polling stations are open until 10pm tonight. If possible in addition to your polling card do bring photo ID (Drivers Licence, Public Services Card or Student/Work ID).
This is a once in a generation decision for the Irish people. Nobody under the age of 53 has voted on the 8th amendment before and your decision will affect Irish families for many decades to come.
Every vote counts. Please use your vote and please vote Yes.
