Minister Joan Burton attends Official Opening of
Tyrrelstown Educate Together National School in Dublin 15
Minister Joan Burton, T.D for Dublin West attended the recent opening of Tyrrelstown Educate Together National School on Friday 15th June last. The school celebrated their official opening with a variety of performances in front of a crowd of 800 pupils, staff and parents, which also including a very memorable rendition of ‘Dublin in the Rare Ould Times’.
The official opening ceremony was performed by Minister Burton along with pupils Rachel Cuddy, Luke Fox and the school’s youngest student Gabby with the assistance of Paul Rowe, the CEO of Educate Together.
Tyrrelstown Educate Together National School is a multi-denominational, co-educational, child-centred school and is a member of the Educate Together School system, which respects and celebrates the diversity of the social, cultural and religious backgrounds of all pupils. The school currently has 500 students ranging from junior Infant to Sixth Class.
